I’m Kai Veitch, a British racing driver currently competing in the Ginetta Junior Championship with Pace Performance. I was born in the UK and I’m proud of my British, Filipino and Australian heritage, which has shaped who I am and how I approach racing.
Motorsport has been my focus from a young age, and everything I do, on and off the track, is about learning, improving, and pushing myself forward.
I’m autistic, and racing in high pressure environments has meant learning how to manage sensory hypersensitivities to sound, touch, and smell, as well as the challenges of large crowds, constant schedule changes, and multiple demands at the same time.
Understanding how this affects me and learning how to stay focused and regulated across an entire race weekend has taken a lot of work, but it’s also helped me become more self aware, resilient, and adaptable as a driver.
I started karting in 2021, aged 11, as a rookie with Pebble Racing & Performance (PRP). My first season was about learning the basics, how to drive a kart properly and how racing works, through selected club rounds at Clay Pigeon, Forest Edge, and Dunkeswell (formerly Mansell) kart tracks.
In 2022, I continued with PRP in the old Mini-Max category, racing in the South West Championship and club rounds, where I built confidence, consistency, and racecraft. My progress led to a step up to national racing in 2023, joining Synergy Kart Team as a Junior to compete in the British Kart Championships (BKC).
My development accelerated in 2024 when I joined KR Sport, racing nationally in the BKC and Ultimate Kart Championship (UKC), and internationally in the BNL Championship and RMC International Trophy. In 2025, I stepped up to Senior karting, competing in the UK and across Europe in the BKC, Rotax Euro Trophy, and RMCIT, racing drivers who were significantly more experienced than me.
Despite having only four years of karting experience, I achieved multiple club podiums, top ten qualifying results, and heat wins at national and international level. My standout result came in 2025, finishing 3rd overall at Kartmasters GP Senior Rotax at 14 years old.
I achieved multiple podium finishes and race wins during my karting career, competing in some of the most competitive championships in Europe.
My most recent notable success was a podium finish in the highly contested Kartmasters GP kart race, the youngest ever to finish on the Senior category podium at only 14.
My performances consistently placed me among the front runners and laid the foundations for my transition into car racing.
In the last weekend of October 2025, I made my first move into car racing by competing in the Ginetta Junior Winter Series. With just two days of prior testing, I took part in two full days of qualifying and racing at Silverstone. It was a big step into a completely new discipline, but it confirmed my ability to adapt quickly, stay composed, and learn fast in challenging environments.
In 2026, I progressed into a full season of the Ginetta Junior Championship with Pace Performance. With only seven winter test days, four pre‑race practice days, and six race starts, I’ve already shown consistent progress, moving forward through the field each race and continuing to adapt to car racing at a competitive level.
I believe my biggest strengths are my ability to learn quickly, take feedback on board, and apply what I’ve learned, both on track and through data analysis. Every season has involved changes in team, equipment, category, or championship, and I’ve used those challenges to develop faster rather than be held back by them. I’m highly coachable, focused on detail, and always looking for the next improvement.
Alongside racing, I’m studying for my iGCSEs with Minerva’s Virtual Academy (MVA), with exams in May and June 2026. Managing my education alongside motorsport has taught me discipline, planning, and responsibility, and it’s an important part of my development both as an athlete and as a person.
My goal is to make a living from driving in motorsport, with the ambition to progress into single‑seater or GT racing in the future. My journey so far has been about more than just results, it’s been about resilience, hard work, and continuous improvement. I’m committed to building a long‑term career in racing and earning the trust and support of teams, fans, and partners who believe in my potential.
