Kai Veitch made a positive start to his rookie Ginetta Junior campaign at Donington Park, showing steady progress across the weekend in his first full race event in cars.
Lining up in one of the UK’s most competitive junior categories, Kai qualified 17th before moving forwards through the races and building confidence with every session. He finished Race 1 in 16th, improved again to 12th in Race 2, and closed the weekend with a strong 11th place in Race 3.
For a first race weekend in Ginetta Junior, it was an encouraging opening step. More importantly, it showed clear momentum across the event, with Kai adapting well to the demands of car racing and continuing to learn in a highly competitive field.
Donington marked an important milestone in Kai’s progression through the sport. Having stepped up into Ginetta Junior for 2026, the weekend provided valuable race mileage, experience in close competition, and a strong base to build on for the rounds ahead.
Reflecting on the weekend, the main takeaway was progress. Kai continued to move forward through the field, gained confidence in the car, and came away with a much clearer understanding of where the opportunities lie heading into Round 2.
A big thank you goes to Pace Performance and everyone supporting Kai behind the scenes as he continues his rookie season in cars.
Next up is Silverstone, where Kai will look to build on the momentum from Donington and keep moving forward.
